Bottle opener – any ideas (Ottawa area)

Pierre:     Try phoning the Arthritis Society. Odds are good that they have a branch in Ottawa. In Vancouver, just a little west of Ottawa!, they have samples of many different kinds of bottle openers. Indeed they have a rather complete kitchen set up showing many of the different types of aids that are available as well as information as to where to get them. Yes, the nutcracker well very well. There is or used to be bottle opener you could buy that would adjust to fit almost any size lid.I own 2 of them. Of course for me the best is my step-dad. He doesn’t have arthritis and he’s responisble for tighting the damn lids in the first place..men. Hi There: You don’t need to purchase a special device for opening bottles. What works very well for me is a nut cracker. With it I am able to open almost any bottle. Give it a try. Rose
