kitty clawing me in the butt!

Question:

Hi! My youngest kitty, Fred, has developed a habit of whenever I am hands and knees playing with any of my other three cats, he launches himself at my butt and hangs on for dear life! Fred gets his fair share of love and affection, so I assume this is hopefully a kitten thing that he should grow out of? I hope so, cos it’s damn awkward putting band-aids on my rear! Regards Peter

Hi,  Get some leather pants:-)  ob. — ****    Odette Brown ** I love Cats    ***** *** La Belle Province ** Quebec ** CANADA ***   http://www.igs.net/~rathey/odette1.htm

Response:

My Casper, at one and a half years old and about ten pounds likes to jump onto my pants from behind me if I stand too long without moving. It is very startling to say the least.  Fortunately the scratching is kept to a minimum as I keep his claws quite trimmed.  And I hope he grows out of it someday before he gives me heart failure from surprise. Take care. — by permission of Molly and Casper, the Wonder Kitties and Pandora, Wonder Kitty-In-Training
