New Research
Question:
I’ve just seen the BBC news and apparently an organisation called Chiroscience have just announced their discovery of the gene which controls the immune system and which may be responsible for RA and other immune disorders. They haven’t published their work yet so there was no independant scientific comment on the validity or repercussions of this discovery but Chiroscience were predicting a major breakthrough in the treatment of immune dieases as a direct consequence of their work within the next 5 to 10 years. Has anyone else heard anymore about this??? Warm regards Kathie

Kathie, The only thing I have heard is in the article about it on http://arthritisnet.com/news.htm They say they have discovered the gene that is the immune "swtich". If it’s true then supposedly they can turn down our immune systems and turn up those with AIDS. But I am sure thats a long way down the road. Yeah, true Krissy, but it looks like they might at least have found the road they have to go down. Char. Iowa, USA
