Thanks Moonflower, I’m glad that you and others have enjoyed these! I thought the particular interview I selected first reflected Ozzy’s deep sensitivity well, a side to him that may seem hidden at times. You know, it seems to me that good in-depth interviews with him these days are a bit more difficult to find. I’ve ben collecting rock mags since the mid-80’s, and figured ‘why not share some of these instead of just letting them collect dust in the closet?’ While, many of his interviews from the 80’s were interesting also, it seems to me that some of his more intimate interviews occured around the very early 90’s, particularly in European magazines. I hope to post some more excerpts from various interviews soon. – Suzanne

{Continued excerpts from Ozzy Interview in Metal Forces – Oct 1991} "There are so many Sunday colour supplements around now that they’ve gotta try to fill the pages with any shit. But what gets me is that they are always writing about the sad things in life. If someone has a dreadful illness, the papers leap on them. The actor Michael Landon recently died and I saw the front cover of one of the American weekly rags a few weeks before and it screamed out that he had only three weeks to live. Fair play to Landon though, he went on TV, as ill as he was, and said, ‘What am I supposed to do when my little girl asks if it’s true?’ These people don’t give a flying fuck about the feelings of others." "The trouble is that there’s no respect any more in this world. And what we have done to this fucking planet in the past hundred years or so is horrific. The damage mankind has wreaked on the environment is atrocious. People talk about AIDS being the worst disease in the world at the moment. I can make a strong case for mankind being an even worse disease." – Suzanne
