Persian Kitten eye worry

Question:

we have a 16 week old persian kitten that has developed a bloodshot eye, none of the other kittens in his litter have any problems, our vet has blood tested him for feline aids, FIP and several other fatal ailments but all came up negative. the eye seems to drain when he rests, and darkens when he’s active, as his blood pressure presumably rises. the strange thing is he’s otherwise very healthy and active and has no sight problem at present. the vet/vets seem to have no other explanation. Does anyone have an idea what his problem could be? thanks, David.

Response:

I would get a second opinion, just in case. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – >we have a 16 week old persian kitten that has developed a bloodshot eye, >none of the other kittens in his litter have any problems, our vet has >blood tested him for feline aids, FIP and several other fatal ailments but >all came up negative. >the eye seems to drain when he rests, and darkens when he’s active, as his >blood pressure presumably rises. >the strange thing is he’s otherwise very healthy and active and has no >sight problem at present. >the vet/vets seem to have no other explanation. >Does anyone have an idea what his problem could be? >thanks, David.
