Question:

hello all … though i don’t come onto this group too often, i just thought i’d post you all a quickie note to let you know how much help this group Really Can Be !!! (and that’s Largely due to the fact that you can all communicate so well together!!!) i work for an insurance company in Canada … i’m an adjuster in the group health & dental department so you can imagine how many claims i see each day and with the variety of drugs for everything under the sun out there i’m sure you can imagine how difficult it is to remember them all or their uses … i certainly appreciate groups like this where there is a lot of discussion on the variety of drugs used for this/these particular diseases … it sure aids me at work being able to identify these drugs and know their uses … this week i’m training new students in the health training room and one of the ladies was mentioning today that she has just started taking methotrexate for her arthritis … i passed on to her that i knew of a newsgroup where i had seen comments on that particular drug and would pass some of your discussions on to her (i just KNOW she’s going to get "the net" after reading some of them) …  …your posts here really help me recognize drug names that come across my desk, the uses, the needs, the side effects, et all… this is another medium to help keep me informed at work, especially any of you living in the States as you often have approval for drugs before we do in Canada … … today i read the note passed on to DeeTee by her daughter regarding fibromyalgia … it’s those "little things" that help those of us not affected realize just how devestating diseases can be and gives us a much better understanding of the disease (i can relate to that as i have 2 friends suffering from fibromyalgia) … if anyone else has something along that line for any disease, would appreciate reading it… … lastly, i just wanted to say what a wonderful support group you have all formed for each other … your help, your experiences, and the jokes shared to brighten one’s day … though there is a lot of dry medical reading out there, it’s great to be able to read an individuals personal experiences and to learn first hand from someone who suffers what quality of life means to him/her ( some of us are so very lucky!!! ) … you all deserve  a pat on the back for the input and support you give each other … Wishing all Peace and Comfort !!!
