You can’t just stop taking Depakote, at least that’s what my doc told me (prolly to get me to keep taking it). You have to get off it gradually and get on it gradually. If you get it out of your system, you may need more bloodwork (read: more $$) done when you go back on it. You need to tell your doctor that you are going to run out, it could do damage if you stop and start again without the proper medical care. I don’t know much about the other drug, but it could have similar problems. If you’re worried about people having your address, I think Western Union is fairly anonymous isn’t it? Too bad that it’s illegal to transfer prescriptions. I have so much Depakote here and could easily make up for a week or two worth. Sucks. I could send you some money, but I doubt it’d be enough without several others pitching in.

Yeah, I’m all emotional about you two making up. I liked Jenny myself until I caught her lying and had her publicly declawed. She’s a good kid — sexy, good build, pretty face, and a redhead. No prob at all with dicking her down. Only thing is — I think she and lynx are really Siamese twins (two heads, one voice.. a pussy maybe?) I have to pay for the lab work, Neurontin is a good thought I will take it up with my pdoc. Do you have to pay for the lab work for Depakote? If so, have you considered trying Neurontin instead? It doesn’t require blood work and doesn’t seem to cause any adverse reactions when used in combo with other drugs. If it works for you, you might have more money (no lab costs) to use to buy it. I dunno about Risperdol, but Depakote is damned expensive, I found that out first-hand when we were in a transition and had no insurance what-so-ever. I only paid for a week’s worth of it, but sheesh. Really drove home the need for a single payer, universal system in my mind. > Can’t we just drop all the name calling and animosity?
Um, yeah ok, you just tell her to stay away from me (and lynx, although he may have something different to say) and I’ll stay away from her. > I don’t hate you, I hope you and lynx don’t hate me.
I can’t speak for lynx, and he isn’t home yet, but, no, I really don’t hate you. A certain other party whose name I won’t mention is another matter. What you see in…never mind. So how much would it cost to get what you need for a week or two? You know, there is this business up here that will hold your personal check until your payday and advance you cash. I dunno what kind of fee they charge, though, or if there’s one around where you are. Whether it’s something for you I guess depends on where you work, that is, whether you get a regular paycheck. >For what it’s worth, I’m sorry you can’t get your meds > thanks
What about a public mental health clinic? They gave me a bottle of 100 Depakote one time, and were willing to keep me supplied entirely with samples if necessary. They have a sliding scale fee (to see the doctor, have blood work done) here, but it’s kind of unrealistic, still better than paying outright for those meds, and they were really adamant about making sure I had enough at all times. > wow that’s rough I wish you the best in your endeavors.
That’s why I’m constantly ranting about pharmaceutical companies and capitalism etc. We need universal health care and we need it now. It *could* be done for the same amount we’re spending on the current unfair, discriminatory system that discourages many people from working or starting a business and keeps them sick.
